Yvonne Aburrow is the founder of Vox Clamantis Books and is the author of several books.
They love reading, writing, and editing. They are a fan of the genres that we publish.
They have been a Pagan since 1985 and a Wiccan since 1991. They have an MA in Contemporary Religions and Spiritualities from Bath Spa University (UK), and moved to Cambridge, Ontario, Canada in May 2018.
They are also the founder and owner of Carnelian Web Services.
Why Vox Clamantis?
We have always thought that the voice crying in the wilderness (vox clamantis in deserto) was an apt metaphor for marginalised people, and those are the perspectives we are interested in promoting.
Vox Clamantis is also the name of an epic poem by John Gower (1330 – 1408) about the Peasants’ Rebellion of 1381. It is a reference to the books of Isaiah, Matthew, and John.
