All pitch documents
Fiction and non-fiction pitch documents should include these sections:
- The title of your book
- The subtitle of your book (optional)
- The genre of the book
- A list of the key concepts and themes in the book
- Three comparable books and authors
- An explanation of how your book will stand out
- A mini-biography of you
- Your marketing ideas for the book
- Your social media profiles
Non-fiction pitch documents
For non-fiction, you will need to add these sections:
- How you are qualified to write this book
- Who the target audience is
- A proposed list of chapters and a brief explanation of what they will cover
