What is “Track Changes”?
Track Changes (sometimes called Suggesting Mode) is a review feature in text editor applications. When an author submits a manuscript to a publisher for review, the publisher will typically use Track Changes or a similar tool to suggest edits to the manuscript. It gives the editor the ability to make suggestions for the author to review, and leave comments explaining their suggestion or giving alternatives. It gives the author the ability to accept, reject, or modify suggestions.

Word
Google Docs
Google Drive (and its sub-application Docs) is a file sharing and collaboration tool hosted in the USA. Track Changes is called “Suggesting mode” in Google Docs, but it works pretty much the same as TrackChanges in Word. Google Drive gives you 15GB of free storage, but this quota is shared with your Gmail account if you have one.
Drime
Drime is a file sharing and collaboration tool hosted in the EU, which means it adheres to strict privacy laws. It offers 20GB of free storage, too. It also calls its version of Track Changes “Suggesting Mode”.
Drime is our preferred tool but we will work with other tools, if necessary.
I used this example document for the video.
